Impurity induced Modulational instability in Bose-Einstein condensates

By means of linear stability analysis (LSA) and direct numerical simulations the coupled Gross-Pitaevskii(GP)equations, we address impurity induced modulational instability (MI) associated nonlinear dynamics in Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs). We explore dual role played by impurities within BECs -- instigation MI dissipation initially generated solitary waves. Because impurities, repulsive are even modulationally unstable this tendency towards increases with increasing fraction superfluid-impurity coupling strength. However, a given BEC decreases decreasing mass atoms while sign interaction plays no role. The above results true for attractive except weak coupling, where phenomenon is marginally suppressed presence impurities. solitons reduces their lifetime eminent larger strong strength respectively.
